Happy Holidays

The holidays are upon us!! I LOVE the holidays even though they are a little bittersweet for me. Since moving to Montana almost 8 years ago, I don't always get to spend the holidays with my family since they are in Texas, California and Oregon. But we try to get together with them as much as we can.
We had a winter storm blow in yesterday. Snowed most of the day. Temps dropped to below zero. Today the sun is shining a little bit and the temp is - 17. Can you say BRRRRR!!!! Even though it's bitter cold, I love seeing the snow. It's still looks beautiful to me. From the first snow of the season to the last. One of the perks of living in MT is that I get to experience all four seasons. In TX it's either hot or cold. And the mesquite trees don't change colors. But they sure make food cooked on the grill taste yummy!!!!
Here's wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season and a lifetime of love, laughter and joy!!!

Snow Day!!!

WOW!!! This morning, very early (4am), we were awakened by a thunderous sound. No it wasn't St. Nick making an early visit. It was a tree limb falling on our power line and knocking it out. So we were without power until around 1pm. Hopefully we won't loose power again but it is possible that we will as there is still snow weighing down the tree limbs. We now have a generator just in case that happens. Here are a few pictures taken this morning.

Music

Rock ... Pop ... Pop Rock .... Rock & Roll .... Soft Rock .... Hard Rock ..... Heavy Metal .... Metal .... Classic Rock .... Hip Hop ...  R&B .... Arena Rock ... Golden Oldies ....  Rock & Roll ...Classical.... Country.... Country Rock... .Blue Grass .... Folk Rock.... Soul .... Alternative... Grunge ... Punk Rock .... etc.... and the list goes on
and is every changing.

Music can ....make you feel .... make you think .... make you get up and dance ...make you happy .... make you sad. It can even make you angry.

Music can ..... lull you to sleep ... wake you up ...make you cry ..... give you chills …help you to relax ... define life's moments ...enhance life's moments ... open windows to the soul, if your willing to look.

Music has..... many names ..... many sounds ... many styles .... many voices ... and is all around us. But you have to be willing to listen.

Music asks only that you… listen to it…. enjoy it …. embrace it….. feel it.. .. ponder it … be enamored by it …. be inspired by it …. but not to judge it without first listening to it.

Music brings many things to our lives. Where would we be without it? I for one hope that I never have to find out. Music can help you get though the tough times that life brings.

There are very few artist that have the ability to reach out and "grab" you from the first time they open their months. To make you believe that everything will be alright no matter what life throws at you. That life isn't so bad after all. David Cook is one such artist. So, Thank you Mr. David R. Cook for sharing your awesome gift with us. You are truly amazing.

Life is AMAZING!!!

I am so excited that I just have to share!! I have FINALLY reconnected with my best friend from Junior High!!! When I moved from CA to TX (when I was 14) me and my best friend Kim swore that we would always stay in touch. Well we didn't. The last time I talked to her was 20plus years ago. Periodically I would look on classmates.com to see if she was there. A few months ago when I checked again I saw her on there!! It took a few months for her to contact me back (thanks to classmates.com taking their time in sending her the email). We've been happily emailing and talking on the phone for the last 3-4 weeks!!! How cool is that!? Life is truly amazing!!!! Here's a pic of us from back in the day!

February Stampers 6 Projects

The first card was inspired by a card and scrapbook page that I saw in my SU! demo magazine. I combined the elements that caught my eye on both and that is the result The other two are CASE'd from the same magazine.

I'm Still Here!!!!

I can't believe that it is already February!!!! Where does the time go?? I have been staying busy with work, home and hobbies. My hubby got me a new (to me) computer and I am still trying to figure it all out. I hope to start sharing more (I know I've said this before - this time I plan on following thru) cards and other craft projects. As well as general stuff. I just need to figure out how to work the programs on my computer. It's an Apple (certified refurbished) so it has a different operating system than I am used to. Please check back soon and be sure and leave me a comment!!! Take Care!!!
